captive portal

Postby razzz » Wed Sep 23, 2009 6:39 am

Hey guys .

I have had a look on this forum and could not find anything on this subject.

is there a way that we could have a captive portal.
amahi serving as router/dns server. if a user that is connected to the Amahi server would like to browse the web and they open their web-browser they would be presented with a web-page where they would need to enter a username and password before they are given acces to surf the web?

a bit like what zeroshell linux and monowall do - http://www.linuxplanet.com/linuxplanet/ ... ls/6751/1/

interesting application.

as it is now, there is no way for an amahi hda to restrict any network device from accessing the outside net, if they really want to. when running as a router, that would open up as a possibility, yes.

maybe file a feature request in http://bugs.amahi.org (under platform -> new issue -> feature)?
My HDA: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz on MSI board, 8GB RAM, 1TBx2+3TBx1
