Bring Back WOL

Postby rdagijones » Sun Nov 30, 2014 4:53 pm

We need WOL on the Amahi dashboard again. I need Wake-On-Lan for Amahi 7.I wish I could write this but it is over my head. I keep convincing groups that I manage to take up Amahi and they are very pleased, but they want to remote access office computers from outside the network. I have everything else but the ability to wake their sleeping computer. Could the group that made this happen for Amahi 6 resurrect it for Amahi 7?

Wake on LAN has already been suggested. There is no estimate as to when or if it will be available in Amahi 7.

BTW, it's best to file bug reports for suggestions as they will go unnoticed here.

Here's a script that might help.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wake-on-LAN

Although it requires command line, it can be run via a web console.

EDIT: This might help as well. It uses a web interface.
