Finished Existing AES-app installation detected cp: cannot stat `aes-app-daemon.sh': No such file or directory chmod: cannot access `/etc/init.d/aes-app': No such file or directory error reading information on service aes-app: Bad file descriptor Done

Thanks for the testing, there's one file missing in the tar. I'll correct that later today.

Thanks for the quick reaction. Just installed it, works like a charm.
The following package was installed by yum automatically: rubygem-sqlite3-ruby-1.2.4-5.fc12.x86_64
Just wondered because it's an fc12 package.

Thanks again for testing.

The f12 package works with f14 as well, so I never bothered changing that, but thanks for pointing it out, I will use f14 in the future.

Cheers

Hello tostts,

the behaviour you describe is not the intended way. Which version did you install? Can you please provide more information in order to troubleshoot, e.g. system configuration, network configuration, console output, etc.

You can stop the service by running as root:

Code: Select all

service aes stop
To disable automatic service start on boot, run

Code: Select all

chkconfig --del aes
Cheers

tostts, you should still be able to access the web GUI. What address do you use to get to the Amahi dashboard, is it http://hda/ or something else?

Note that the address is hda:6500, in your earlier post you mention hda:6900

I've been running AES since the early days and have been very happy with it (and also with your support, jayrock). This has saved me a fortune in electricity bills as my server is old and power hungry. Keep up the good work.
