Win 7 and HDAConnect

Postby relrobber » Sat Jan 30, 2010 2:43 pm

Everytime I start HDAConnect, Win 7 pops up a UAC dialog box to make sure I want to let HDAC make changes to my system. It is really annoying, and so I stopped HDAC from running on startup. Is it possible to get this script Win 7 logo certified (or whatever else it takes to get approved by MS), or is this an issue more with OpenVPN than the HDAC script?

yes, it's very annoying.

however, we don't have the fund$$ to be able to do that (it takes a lot of effort to do business with M$ - i know first hand).

we are working to get some services for the community, and when we do that we can help OpenVPN do this, among other things!

You can turn off UAC, I did and it is great not to have the annoying pop up. Here is a link that shows you how, one of many links on the subject
