Right Click to open a Terminal Window

Postby rgmhtt » Sun Jan 11, 2009 6:32 pm

I really like to open Terminal Windows when I am logged into a server. I am primarily a Centos user, and that is a default feature. But it is not in FC9, so here is how to do it:

yum install gconf-editor nautilus-open-terminal

In a terminal window, run gconf-editor

Go the Apps section, then look for nautilus-open-terminal. Put a check mark in the desktop_opens_home_dir entry.

Now if you Right Click on your desktop, you will have an option to open a terminal window.
