As a complete newbie but eager to learn, how the heck do install "disk wizard" so I can add an "icy box" 4 bay external hard drive to my server?

disk-wizard App.

It may have a convenience fee.

If so, you will need to log into amahi.org and purchase it. Once complete, refresh your available apps in the HDA dashboard on your server and it will appear.

It's mentioned as $0.00.However it still prompts me for my card details or PayPal account. This happens to all apps which presumably are free. What does this mean?

You don't go to the web site for FREE apps.

They will appear in your Available Apps section on your HDA.

BTW, disk-wizard App is not LIVE, so you won't have access. We have many that are still being worked for Amahi 11.

Only the FREE apps that reflect LIVE for Fedora 27 are available. Of course the pay apps can be purchased regardless of LIVE status.

UPDATE: disk-wizard App is now LIVE for Fedora 27 / Amahi 11.

You should see it in your Available Apps list in the Applications tab.

Hi. New install of Amahi 11 and Disk Wizard isn't showing up in my available apps. How can I add it so I can add my main hard drive? Thanks.

Sorry, the Disk-Wizard App is broken and unavailable forAmahi 11.

Follow the manual adding a hard drive to your HDA guidance.

I appreciate your reply. Thank you. I never set a root password, and my admin user password isn't working in putty to terminal to root to try the manual code. For someone not skilled in Linux like myself, would that expensive Greyhole app do the trick, since disk manager has been removed from the app store? Thanks in advance. Apologies if I should have made a new thread. Seemed related.

You can set root password in terminal.

Code: Select all

sudo su -
Then

Code: Select all

passwd
You can also do commands for root by preceding them with sudo. It will ask for your user password.

Greyhole will not work for you. It does not mount drives. Currently, the manual option is the only method that is available.
