DLNA directory change
When I attempt to go to the .conf file for miniDLNA to change the directory file, I get that I do not have permission. Any ideas?
Re: DLNA directory change
The DLNA wiki guidance might help.

Re: DLNA directory change
You have to edit the file /etc/minidlna.conf. This can be done using nano or vi editors.
If you don't have nano installed, do the following as root user:
There is guidance on the internet on how to use these editors. I will add that to the wiki so there is no confusion in the future.
Code: Select all
vi /etc/minidlna.conf
Code: Select all
yum install nano

Re: DLNA directory change
it worked so far, but how to I end the editing session? I made all my edits but not sure what command to type to complete the editing.
Re: DLNA directory change
Depends on which editor you used.
The commands are available on the internet.

Re: DLNA directory change
I reviewed the commands and I am still not able to just save changes. I do hit the command ctl + o to save and it still doesn't save. I have been researching for a few hours and all I want to do is make these changes. Is there any advice out there? When I hit ctl + o it seems like it changes, but all the happens is an "<INSERT> shows up at the bottom. Then when I hit ctl+ o it just changes <INSERT> to lowercase.
It also says this now when I go to edit it. I type in the command to edit it or delete it and it doesn't delete
