Hey there, my name is Kevin, I'm a software developer. So far, I have used Amahi as my home server for print and scan services. I have a custom script that constantly polls my Fujitsu document scanner, and automatically scans a two sided document and e-mails it off to Evernote. This is currently done with a Rube Goldberg of shell scripts, but I started creating a configurable Java application running on embedded Tomcat to make the install process repeatable last night in light of my need to re-install everything. Which brings me to my question.
When I first installed Amahi; I neglected to RTFM and used my public domain as my home domain. So far, everything kinda works, but there are some problems with this configuration. Plus there's this little guy on my shoulder constantly nagging me to fix it. I've looked around and it looks like there is no supported method to rename the domain so I have to re-install. That is fine, but I want to make sure my purchased apps (Plex) is not tied to my current configuration at all. I'm assuming no, but covering the bases before I start the re-install.
I would really like to see future iterations of Amahi to have a rename feature. I have a ton of customization outside of the Amahi apps that I have to make sure I backup and reconfigure. I know it's my fault, but it makes me sad.

Reinstall question and introducing myself..
Re: Reinstall question and introducing myself..
Yes I believe reinstall is the best option. As for apps, they are tied to your amahi.org user name, not the HDA profile. Any application you purchased will be available on reinstall.I've looked around and it looks like there is no supported method to rename the domain so I have to re-install. That is fine, but I want to make sure my purchased apps (Plex) is not tied to my current configuration at all. I'm assuming no, but covering the bases before I start the re-install.
