I feel like this is an easy answer but not sure. (Also, let me say that I have thoroughly read the wiki page on installing additional hard drives to Amahi).
What I have currently:
-Amahi running on Fedora 19
-ownCloud running on Amahi
-A USB drive with files already on it from previous windows backups plugged into the HDA
I used the wiki guide as well as ownCloud's own tools to get the drive mounted and viewable from the ownCloud web interface (which is freaking awesome, by the way, Amahi+ownCloud ROCKS).
My problem: the drive becomes "un-mounted" whenever the HDA restarts. I want a solution where the power can go out or the HDA can restart and the drive still be accessible.
There is a section in the wiki page (linked above) that talks about "Manually setting up the disk mount order". I'm not sure but I think that might be the solution I need. But even if it was, it looks like there are only directions for Ubuntu, not Fedora.
Can someone give me a little guidance?
Yet Another USB Hard Drive Question
Re: Yet Another USB Hard Drive Question
This guidance also applies to USB drives.

Re: Yet Another USB Hard Drive Question
As I mentioned in my OP, I had read through that page several times.
I did manage to find the solution though after you forwarded me back there. It was somewhat buried in the "Use the hard drive in your Greyhole storage pool" section where it says in a nondescript sentence, "First, you'll need to make the mount permanent..."
I had skimmed through this section since the header described something that I did not want to do. I also found it in one other section, but again, it was a section describing something I wasn't looking to accomplish.
Admittedly, it's my own fault for not reading every word of every section of the guide, but it would be nice to have the information in a spot that was a little easier to find.
Thanks for the response.

Re: Yet Another USB Hard Drive Question
No problem and sorry it was buried.
If you would like to update the page to make it easier to find, please do. The wiki is maintained by the community entirely, with a little from me
May make a section just for USB hard drives.

Re: Yet Another USB Hard Drive Question
A section for just USB drives would be great. I ended up not reading the page for a while because I was uncertain that it did actually apply to USB drives.
I may make some changes/additions based on my experiences.
Also, good to know that it is open for anyone to make edits to as I've had a few ideas for articles to add. We'll see if I have time to get to any of that though. I do feel somewhat inclined to since I have gotten some amazing value from Amahi (and the wiki) without any cost to me.
Thanks!

Re: Yet Another USB Hard Drive Question
On a different note, I have another question that is unrelated to my OP. Should I post that here or start a new thread?
Re: Yet Another USB Hard Drive Question
I would recommend you start a new thread. We are glad you have benefited from Amahi and the wiki. Anything you add would be greatly appreciated.
I tend to monitor the wiki, so if I make some changes please don't be offended. I often reword or reorganize things a bit to make it better for the community.

Re: Yet Another USB Hard Drive Question
That's to be expected and I wouldn't be offended. At the very least, fact-checking would be required so that people don't end up messing up a setting or file accidentally because of some bad information.
I requested an account for the Wiki and I'm waiting for approval. Once that happens I'll look into adding/tweaking some things.
