Amahi Rebuild... 6 or 7?

Good afternoon all,
A few weeks ago, I had a hard drive crash on my server. It was set up with Greyhole, and I'm not 100% sure the disk is lost, but the partitioning is shot due to a power outage. I mainly use my Amahi server as a NAS to store movies, so I'm thinking of rebuilding the server, but with 7. I know Amahi 7 doesn't have native Greyhole support, but there is a script to set it up.
My server is an older system with a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield processor and a GIGABYTE GA-E7AUM-DS2H LGA 775 motherboard. It's a few years old, but should be able to handle NAS duties just fine. I could never get the 64-bit version of 6 to install correctly, although it should have been able to.
I guess my question is, given that Greyhole is a manadatory aspect for me, are there any advantages for me using Amahi 7 with Fedora over Amahi 6 with Ubuntu? I'm not really sure what 7 gets me, especially since Greyhole is an aftert he fact thing.
