Urgent - Fedora repos for F9 not working well

A lot of new users are having issues with installs.
SOLUTION (reportedly works)
1) run this in the command line (as root):
(alternate link for that yum rpm above if the above does not work )
if that does not work,
2) install Fedora 10 instead, which is reported to be working

We're investigating as fast as we can at the moment. It looks like the fedora 9 repos have been updated in a way
that is not compatible with the yum version in the DVD.
The symptom is that the hda-install.log file has things like this:

rpm -Uvh http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/updates/9/i386.newkey/yum-3.2.21-2.fc9.noarch.rpm
yum clean all
hda-install YOURCODEHERE
