Has anyone figured out how to use MTP clients on their HDA?

Postby rbmattis » Mon Jan 09, 2012 7:10 pm

I installed libmtp but I can't figure out how to get it to access my Galaxy Nexus.

I can't figure out how to get it to work on Fedora.

Anyone else try this?

Thanks,

rb

Nevermind, it took a couple of hours but i got it to work... sadly I didn't keep a very accurate tutorial, I had to install a bunch of dependencies, compile some stuff, etc.

Nope. I can see it as /mnt/gnex. I can access it in ssh and nautilus. I can copy files to it. When the file transfer completes, the file disappears... wtf.

That stinks. Only thing I have seen via google is mounting it as a mass storage device. The article mentioned setting the phone to mass storage mode as well. I never thought about trying it myself, so may give it a go.
