So I've been toying around with trying to print from my iOS devices to the shared printer on my HDA. I followed some of the instructions found on the internet at sites like these:
http://www.micromux.com/2010/11/22/airp ... -on-linux/
http://turnix64.blogspot.com/2011/04/ai ... -fc14.html
So far everything works according to plan, except my printer isn't printing any of the jobs in queue, but the CUPS admin page states the jobs are complete. Now the only difference I can see between the jobs I send through using my PC's (that do print) and the ones that are sent from my iOS devices is that the user on iOS jobs is "guest".
Upon further investigation it seems I can't print from my Ubuntu netbook either. So my hunch is that the HDA is configured to share the printer over samba only, maybe that is why I can't print from either device. Any suggestions on how I might configure the HDA to serve both my Linux client and iOS client would be appreciated. Thanks.
Airprint functionality on Amahi
Re: Airprint functionality on Amahi
Keep in mind this is not an Amahi capability, but a Fedora 14 one. Amahi integrates with Fedora, but does not add print capability. Not sure how many users are uing Airprint, but you might find some help here or in the wiki.
Your quickest resolution will probably be via Fedora forums or searching the internet.
