I wasn't sure which board to put this under, so feel free to suggest a more appropriate place.
Running Amahi on Fedora, and recently during a reboot I no longer get a gnome interface (I had gnome auto-login)
I have some linux experience but not at this level, so if there are outputs that are desired let me know.
I am still able to access the web interface, SSH into the box, and do everything I need to. However RDP and VNC are saying that connections have failed, so I believe that the gnome console is actually failing. Realistically what I need is the VNC connection.
GNOME doesn't load
Re: GNOME doesn't load
Hello,
Not sure what happened, but the auto login might have had something to do with it. Have you updated your HDA with the latest Fedora 14 updates?
Other than that, recommend you check google to see if anyone else has had similar problems. I am fairly confident this is a Fedora issue and not Amahi.

Have you rebooted recently? You might just need to restart your VNC desktop again. I used method 3 for setting up VNC (wiki) and only start it when I want to use a desktop program. Might be the same for you. If your VNC server is still running with a desktop, maybe try killing that desktop and starting a new one on a different port?

Re: GNOME doesn't load
I had recently done a 'yum update' and have rebooted which caused the problems
Restarting VNC has no effect.
