Hardware Recommendations for adding hard drives
Hardware Recommendations for adding hard drives
So I've maxed out all the hard drive bays my rig will hold (6), so to add more space I suppose I need to add some kind of external NAS box. I have zero experience using these. Does anyone have such a setup, and if so, can you recommend what hardware to use and how to tie it into the Amahi/Greyhole system?
Re: Hardware Recommendations for adding hard drives
if you want something cheap and using grey hole anyway, i would use one of the mediasonic bay's they have 4 bay and 8 bay options with usb 3.0 or esata, no raid or jabob option, and can be had for as little as $100, and each drive inside the bay will show up as a seporate drive, if using esata your esata port needs to support port replicator
Re: Hardware Recommendations for adding hard drives
Cool I'll check it out, thanks.
