Hello All,
I have recently installed amahi and absolutely love it. The last couple of weeks I have been loading music on to it, set it up for DNLA, and recently configured iptables. Since I have configured iptables I have noticed that it takes a minute sometimes even longer for my dvd player to be able to access the music on my server. Is this normal, I expect there to be more processing with the firewall as the packets need to be inspected, but I have a core i7 2.8GHz I would think it should be able to handle it as I'm not really using the server for anything else at this time. My other thought is that perhaps the server is going into a power saving mode and its taking a minute for it to wake up? Does anyone have any experience with iptables or have any ideas what may be causing this?
Thanks

Re: slow dlna access
well I know know its not iptables or my dvd player. Amahi says that the server is running but if I restart the service the dvd player picks it up instantly after it is started back up. Does anyone else experience any problems like this with the DLNA server?
Re: slow dlna access
I do not have any issues with my DLNA server. I able to access all my media via xbox360 or PS3 no problem.
