So instead of working on Amahi F14 and such, I am busy putting up a new repo server to install from (as this server was my local repo server) and now to do the install then start recreating the system. I THOUGHT I had the db backuped up to my external drive, but since I can't find it, I wonder... Most likely the backups are still in the phpmybackup directory on the dead drive.
Tomorrow I see what Ontrack will charge for recovering /home and /var/hda/files; most everything else I can rebuild from my notes.
Reminder to everyone, have good backups. No excuse for me. I had the rsync written to sync these two trees to my external 1.5Tb drive, just had not set up the cron job. I am now looking at a >$1000 recovery charge.
