Using Zotac NM10-DTX , Problems witht Sata Ports?

Postby plichi » Thu Jan 27, 2011 12:13 pm

Hi guys,
first: I'm sorry for some maybe strange english..my german ist better :geek:

I would like to build a homeserver using amahi OS. I chose a Zotac NM10 - DTX as bases for the Server, because of the 6 Sata Ports :)

do I will geht problems using all ports? because 2 are connected with the intelchipset and 4 with a JMicron JMB363 Controller

Using windows you have to install an extra driver i think..but i'm not sure..

could this going to be a problem?

I hope you could get the point i'm concerning about

Thanks a lot

Start off by Googling the controller name and Linux support. If that doesn't turn up anything try the Fedora forums and search for the controller of even the motherboard model number. Remember Google Search is your friend.

Good Luck,

Pat
