Well my server has been running fine for over a month now but suddenly (when I wanted to migrate some large chunks of data) the server just hangs if I copy more than approx 250-300MB files.

The entire console is hung and I have to hard reset the server.

I've checked the hda updates and they are up to date.

Are there some logs that may point towards the issue?

BTW, when I first got the server setup I copied approx 300GB across fine, I am now trying to move the rest of my data.

You could take a look in /var/logs directory at some of the log files.

Thanks BigFoot but I have spent some time checking all the logs in that directory before then after copying files and getting the server to crash and I can't see any entries in the logs during or after the time of the file copy so I need more help to try and sort this isue.

Any other ideas anyone?
