is there a list of RPMs that Amahi (base hda install, no apps) requires or just assumes is present?
if so you can do a quick inventory of default packages on Ubuntu and check of which ones are already there and which ones need to be installed. There is 1 big difference between Ubuntu & Fedora, Fedora has sendmail installed by default, Ubuntu uses exim4 as default MTA.

also, make note of the fact that Debian based systems use a slightly different FS setup then Fedora does..
perhaps we also need a list of where those packages are installed, and how/if/when amahi calls for path's to them, and change them accordingly?

that said, apearantly amahi DOES run on ubuntu (albeit half), so says the wiki :)
