HP ProLiant Microserver N36L
$255 on newegg.
4GB RAM, 30 GB Vertex SSD, 3x2TB Samsung F4's plus room for one or two more drives.
I'm pretty stoked.

I'm running HP microserver, didn't touched the hardware, pretty much default, athlon II, 1gbram, seems to be running amahi and fedora 14 just fine.
I use Boxee Box to play the contents of the server.

My server is an Advent Netbook, I'll take a picture at some point as it currently means pulling it from under the desk.

Upgraded my HDA. I moved the Vertex to the ODD bay, inserted a fourth Samsung f4 HD204UI 2TB into the SAS backplane. Then I reformatted and properly aligned all the F4's (they are advanced format drives that don't play nice with linux out of the box). Then I combined them into a RAID 5 array with mdadm giving 5.4 TB of usable space. That should last me a while. When I run out of space again I'll add a better e-sata card to the pcie slot and then slap a bunch of big drives into one of those port multiplying external enclosures. That'll take me to about 15 TB of usable storage, that will take a VERY long time to fill.

An eSATA hardware RAID chassi running 4x2TB in RAID5.
I have another chassi ready to go once I feel I get low on space

I'm a whs v1 user on my primary media server which is a Norco 4220 server with 18TB usable (4TB free) at the moment and still growing. It will max at 40TB. Everything is duplicated on it as well.
I've setup a headless Amahi media server on a Dell Dimension e520 with an OS drive and 2 300gb drives in a greyhole pool. I've installed SABnzbd, Couchpotato, SickBeard, and Headphones on it to utilize the shares. This will sit on a wired network and be read from an apple tv2 running xbmc. This will be given to another family and I wanted an all in one solution that was robust and would do what they needed without requiring much babysitting. I really like the platform and might look into it to replace my personal media server in the future.
