Confused..

Code: Select all

[root@localhost nic]# rpm -q hda-platform hda-platform-3.3-1.noarch

Code: Select all

[root@localhost nic]# uname -r 2.6.27.25-170.2.72.fc10.i686

Code: Select all

[root@localhost nic]# grep baseurl /etc/yum.repos.d/amahi.repo baseurl=http://f$releasever.amahi.org/

Code: Select all

[root@localhost nic]# rpm -Uvh http://f10.amahi.org/noarch/hda-release-0.4-1.noarch.rpm package hda-release-0.4-1.noarch is already installed
I did upgrade to FC10 about 2 months ago.

Thanks

Then you follow the top 2 commands.

Your grep baseurl did not say f9.amahi.org, so no need to install the package.
Having problems with connecting to the internet? Try the Network Troubleshooter.

Not sure what your Gateway IP? Head on over to the Find Your Gateway IP page to find out easily.

After having made a small offering to the computing gods, whilst downloading the FC10 DVD. I have now updated from FC9 > FC10.

This gave me a working FC10 system, but then i had to issue the commands, mentioned earlier in the thread.

Now i have Amahi 4.0.2. :D

no, it's in maintenance mode (no security releases recently).

new apps do show, however, it's not well tested.

Thanks for these instructions on checking the upgrade however I'm getting a different error

After the cleaning the metadata and the yum -y update 'hda*'

I get

the reason for this has to do with some incompatible yum upgrade that the fedora folks pushed to the repos

i think this will work

Code: Select all

rpm -Uvh http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/updates/9/i386.newkey/yum-3.2.21-2.fc9.noarch.rpm
this will hop you to the compatible yum. you may have to clean metadata (or even clean all) before and after.

then do per the above instructions.

This starting to get ugly

Retrieving http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/update ... noarch.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
yum >= 3.2.22 is needed by (installed) yum-utils-1.1.22-1.fc10.noarch
yum >= 3.2.22 is needed by (installed) createrepo-0.9.7-7.fc10.noarch

Another thought??

BTW, rpm -q yum
yum-3.2.23-3.fc10.noarch

using 10 instead 9 in your command and this yum version gives me a 404 error
