Amahi 5.3 Final Release

Hi Guys!

Here is Amahi's next major release! Though it's a point release, it has major things in it!

Storage pooling and replication, a new technology in Linux (called Greyhole) that is exclusively launching on Amahi!

The blog post below includes two short videos, one highlighting the
new technology in Greyhole and the other is a little teaser for a
very very cool new app coming up for streaming videos to the iPad
and other HTML5-based devices:

This should be a FAQ, and probably has been answered, but I made an effort to search and haven't been able to answer this. How can I confirm that my Amahi box has been upgraded to the latest release? Is there a place where the version shows on the web interface? Thanks.

Goto your HDA web page (http://hda)
Choose 'Setup' and 'Settings'. The version number is displayed in 'System Info: Platform'.

Thanks! My setup had indeed been automagically upgraded to Amahi 5.3. I am one of those who lives dangerously and compulsively keeps Fedora updated too ...

I'm really dying to get my hands on this one, looks really promising. I can't imagine how cool this will be to stream video over a web browser on my iPod touch and iPad.
