Caching more aggressively

I have 8 gig of ram on my home server, but its only using 1.7G including the cache. Hiw can i take advantage of the remainder of the ram to boost performance of the server?

That is something you need to search the internet on for guidance. We do not optimize memory with Amahi any more than the OS does on install. Amahi is an add on and makes use of the existing OS features and capabilities.

You know that ubuntu just started using the memory a few hours later for cache. You haave to love linux!

I tried it. Works good for Desktop version of Ubuntu, but not as much for server.
