WebDav

I need to know how hard is it setup webdav shares in Amahi? I did a search and found a thread titled "webdav share" http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f ... dav#p21580

In the thread they are talking about Amahi adding a webdav share for each smb share. then it just kind of fades out and I can't find a single thing on how to use, configure Webdav on Amahi. I have not downloaded it yet due to the hard time I am having finding good documentation. I have heard good things about it, but other then the features list there seem to be very little on how to actually use and configure the different features.

So, what is the current state of Webdav? Did this idea of automaticly configuring a webdave share with each smb share every happen? If not just how much of a pain is it to configure a webdav share?

The HDA has a webdav server by default for calendars. Nothing has been done to configure shares to use it automatically. I am not sure if a feature request has been submitted. This has not been widely requested by users in the past, so it may have been dropped off the list.

What you have found in the forums is probably all that is available. I would recommend checking the internet.

Ya, WebDav is a really nice thing. But murder to setup and share folders. I was hoping the Amahi would be different. I had hope when I saw that thread. I would really, really, I do mean really, love to see Amahi make it easy to setup webdav shares. I wish it had not fallen off the radar. I must keep looking for a solution to meet my needs.

Sounds like it could be useful. This appears to be one of those features that not many have interest in for Amahi. If you can document how to set it up, it would benefit other users.

Sometimes the best way is to do it manually and we can use that guidance to eventually automate it.
