Is there a way, any way, to get back into the dashboard / web interface if all but one of the accounts doesn't work? There is one account that works, but let me get back to that in a minute. Long story short, for some reason or another I've lost all ability to manage my amahi server via the dashboard setup page - because I cannot get logged in. This also impacts samba, so I'm thinking there's a password in a db somewhere on the system I can throw a few commands at and reset it to the same as the fedora acccount(s).
I have the root account and it works, and the other accts work via ssh.
reset-admin-password does not work and has not worked with any configuration(s) that I've tried.
OR is there a way to somehow elevate an account to admin via ssh so then I can get logged in and correct a few things into the setup dashboard?
I'm this close to rebuilding and moving 14tb is not going to be fun.
*To complicate matters further, my machine is an Acer Aspire Revo and it runs headless, so I really can't choose options at boot time, but if change the boot options before a reboot maybe that would work?

I have. Sadly, it doesn't work for me. I've tried it against all my accounts that had admin rights. Thoughts?
Without reloading the OS, I would like to somehow purge or start fresh. Is there a way to do that?

The user name and password are stored in the database, but the password is encrypted. If the reset-admin script is not working then you might be able to set a different user to admin. That can be done in the database by setting admin=1 in the users table of hda_production.
Please be aware that messing with the database is dangerous, but given the choice of reinstall this seems worth the risk. This is presuming you have at least one user that works. The root user does not count as Amahi only has the first admin user and any others you added via the dashboard. You cannot add users without using the dashboard.

Thank you very much for your time for the response. This is a real lifesaver for me, especially all the time of reading through hundreds of posts to find an alternative.
:EDIT:
I'm a noob when it comes to mysql and I'm trying to search the forums and wiki for instructions like when I need to do in order to elevate privileges for a user that exists as a non admin. Without breaking anything, how would I go about changing this value in the table? The user is 'rachelle' without the single quotes.
I found this thread http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=119 but I'm sure that it's not the database I need to modify.
*I'm also starting the 'learn sql the hard way' so I'm getting a better understand of what I'm doing. I don't do this often and haven't learned how to maintain or use a database effectively. Again, thanks for a step in the right direction!

Yes, that will get you started. It's not the right database or table, but does give you some syntax for what you need to do.
