great!
what steps should we take to make this easier?
we were thinking of a checkbutton on webapps to designate one webapp as a "default" one.
that will take care of the 01-foo.conf thing.
and another checkbutton to also make it accessible via https.
anything else you can suggest?

Re: webserver
Hello cpg
just this..
It would be nice if there were already a Amahi-default "index.html" present at the folder that is designated as the webpage-folder. Perhaps a page with a little basic explanation on how to:
-make a good webpage?
-forward port 443 (tcp) to the amahi server in the firewall in order to view it from WAN.
-link to other webapps on your amahi-server (i have a folder with downsized photo's that i want to view using a link-through from my main-webpage) I use a firefox plugin to view those pictures (AutoSlideshow) I have got my pictures sorted on date in folders bearing those dates.
-Play your mp3's direct from your own webpage (fireplay-html-page) using your mp3-collection and firefly to stream it.. to fireplay
****and another checkbutton to also make it accessible via https.***
Do you mean that the webpage will be visable to all if that button is not pressed? that would be nice too..
Thanks again for all the info....

Re: webserver

Re: webserver
you can always use another port IE port 81 so you would do http://foo.yourhda.com:81

pbecks: fyi...your router not being pingable only means that when a computer sends "are you there?" to your IP address, your router doesn't reply, "yes i am." it does not affect traffic going through the router. many routers have a setting on the webconfig to turn this feature on or off.
