RESOLVED: Unable to create Webapp for website HTTP Error 500

I'm attempting to follow the wiki to host a website on my HDA (Wiki article here https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Hostin ... _a_Website )
Running on a Ubuntu 12.04 x64 bit machine
I'm naming the site "Webcam" and taking the default path.
When I click "Create" I get a dialog box that is titled "The Page at HDA says:" with "HTTP Error 500" as the only content
I have not already created the directory because I assumed this process would create it. What am I missing?
