Minecraft Server App Problem
Posted: Fri Sep 07, 2012 7:45 am
I bought the Minecraft Server App and am able to install it. However it doesn't appear to work. The message I get is:
Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
There are not really any instructions to go with this app so I have no way to troubleshot it. I saw the wiki at http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/McMyAdmin but I don't know if this has to be installed along with the app. If I have to install McMyAdmin, I'm not sure what the app does for me. However the first command from the wiki, "apt-get install mono-basic", results in "Unable to locate package mono-basic". When I go to the servers sub-tab on the hda web page I see several running (Apache, DNS ...) but I do not see anything that looks like Minecraft. When I go to http://minecraft-server.home.com/control/ I get a big green button that says click to start, but nothing appears to happen.
My install is Ubuntu server and I'm running it headless. I am new to Linux/Amahi but have run WHS for years and am starting to make the switch.
