Torrentflux b4rt stopped working

b4rt had been working without a problem for months, now it's just disappeared. Tried re-installing it, still the same. Can't access it from the dashboard, can't even see it running when I do a "ps -aux". As I'm still using Fedora 12 and V5 and as far as I'm aware no updates have taken place recently, why has it stopped working? Anyone else see this?

Jim!

Please check the app install log at /var/log. It may shed some clues as to what is going on since you reinstalled.

Might wanna look for a log file specific to that app or maybe check other logs in the aforementioned location. Since Fedora 12 is no longer being updated by Fedora and Amahi, hard to say what may have occurred.

I am sure we can sort it out once you have a look at the log files.

Same issue here.

Installed Torrentflux-b4rt to replace torrentflux, now I am getting issues like torrents saying Connecting to Peers, and errors in the b4rt log :

[2011/10/14 - 18:34:12] error: bad data from tracker - bad bencoded data
[2011/10/14 - 18:35:13] error: bad data from tracker - bad bencoded data

I have forwarded the necessary ports on my router, turned off the firewall, even placed the amahi box in the dmz. Still have this issue. If i start a torrent on another machine on my network, it works flawlessly.

Any ideas?

I would also like to say this:

I had Torrentflux installed and thought maybe reinstalling it might fix my issue. Wasn't I surprised when I found I couldn't reinstall Torrentflux without paying the 2.00 app fee. If someone has had a program installed since 2009 is it really fair to charge them because they try to trouble shoot a problem by reinstalling it?

When did you install Torrentflux-b4rt? I just updated in in the last few days and hoped it would be working better.

As for the app convenience fee, it did not exist until Fedora 14. We have no way of knowing who already had it prior to this change. Sorry for the inconvenience, but know your purchase goes to keeping Amahi going. It is with this and donations that Amahi can continue to move forward and remain for the most part, a FREE home server solution.

Not sure on the exact date, it was mid to late this week.
I understand the point of the purchase, it was just very frustrating to go from having an issue to having a whole new issue with a new program.

Understand. Recent feedback indicated that Torrentflux-b4rt is working now. Maybe a reinstall would help.

If there are still problems, please let me know. I would like to get this one fixed and moved to Live in the near future.

Reinstalled, still having issues.

2011/10/17 - 10:08:55] tornado up and running.
[2011/10/17 - 10:08:55] error: bad data from tracker - bad bencoded data

ports 49160 to 49300 are forwarded in the router. Firewall on the router is turned off.

The torrent has over 4000 seeds.

Was not aware ports needed to be forwarded. Not sure what the problem could be, permissions maybe? Recommend you check the web site for TorrentFlux and see if anyone has had similar issues.
