Torrentflux Issue

Postby beigher » Thu Dec 11, 2008 11:30 pm

I installed Amahi on Fedora 9 running in a VM. I then updated Fedora (yum update). Also, I redirected the default download path for Torrentflux to an external HDD (/media/New Volume/Downloads). Everything seems to work in Torrentflux save the fact that nothing downloads. When I add a torrent, it populates the queue, but does not get any seeds or leeches and stays at 0%...

Any thoughts?

There is a little noticed icon to make the torrent "run" and that needs to be clicked.

It got me the first time ...

Is this the button you are referring to? No, that's not the issue. I have installed torrentflux before on a Ubuntu machine and it worked fine for me. I was wondering if doing the upgrades could have thrown off a configuration file or something.

Is there a way to reinstall torrentflux on an Amahi installation?

Yes, i think that is the button. You know how it works :)

To reinstall (as root):

Code: Select all

rpm -e hda-app-torrents yum -y install hda-app-torrents
Someone in the IRC channel mentioned a "newer/improved" forked version of torrentflux called tf-b4rt (I know, super-easy to remember).

You'd have to install it as a web app, it's not pre-packaged for Amahi.
