I have enabled Remote Desktop and desktop sharing on my Amahi server but when I try to connect to my Amahi server using Remote Desktop the error "Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons" is immediately displayed.

BUT
Remote desktop IS enabled.
The Ahmahi server IS turned on.
http://hda is displayed so the Amahi server is available and therefore the server has network access.

I have tried to install Webvnc and I have tried to used the provided instructions to make tigervnc work but everything I do to get remote access to this server fails. This is too frustrating and without remote access this server is useless to me.

Recommend you turn off remote desktop and try the VNC guidance in the wiki.

What probably happened with your current setup is the remote desktop tries to authenticate and the HDA is waiting for a password (keyring). This has caused many issues.

I am using RealVNC client with my hda and it works fine. I had it setup using remote desktop like you, but kept running into the keyring password issue. The work around for it never helped me.
