OpenVPN ALS (Adito) Manual removal??

Postby thisspaceleftblank » Thu Sep 09, 2010 5:13 am

Is there a way to manually remove this application? I've tried through the web-ui and it just sit and spins its little icon 'preparing to uninstall' but doesn't appear to do anything else. I need to completely remove it and its settings so I can reinstall.

Hello,

Not sure why it will not uninistall. Please check to see that the following directory exists:

/var/hda/web-apps/adito

If it does not, create it and then do the uninstall. If you can provide any additional info, that will help us better diagnose the problem.

That directory was not there, I created it and tried again with the same results.

What other info can I give? From the 'Apps Log' on the 'Debug' tab I am getting...

Make sure the dir is owned by apache:users. If its owned by root, the uninstall will fail.

Oh well, the whole webui (dashboard?) is not working now. DHCP and DNS are still working but I can't get to the dashboard. This was after I rebooted. Perhaps I should just reinstall the whole thing. Can I reinstall the dashboard?

I am sorry to say the dashboard is not a component that can be installed. It's all integrated with Amahi.

Ensure you have all the latest Fedora updates, then try rebooting again. Also, if you provide any log files that would be helpful.

I don't see any log files that aren't empty. Do you happen to know where Clipperz saves its data? I would like to not lose my info.
Only things working are the dns, dhcp and webmin.

Clipperz saves all the data in the database. If you use phpMySql, Adminer, or phpMYBackup to save your data, then reload upon install.
