Squeezebox SoftSqueeze Connectivity problems

I'm currently using squeezebox and Softsqueeze on my amahi server to play music as a jukebox. It works fine for the most part, except that in the middle of playing a song softsqueeze will say it lost connection with the server, and stop playing. I can get it to start again by clicking play again, but the longer softsqueeze is up, the shorter it seems to be between random cut-outs. I don't understand how softsqueeze is able to lose connection with a server on the same machine. If anyone can help me with this problem or explain how this is even possible, that would be great. If not, can someone running this kind of set up tell me what they've done so i can replace it with a less irritating system?
