confusion over non-"applications"-tab apps

Postby TheOneTrueAnt » Sat Apr 04, 2009 2:13 am

Hi there,

I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers. On my new (running the testing version) install of Amahi I'm trying to work out how to install slideshow and pba. I've tried to use http://hda/myapps/ but I'm not sure if a) its working or b) where it installs the apps to.

Oddly amahitunes is installed and working but doesn't show up in myapps or applications!

Cheers if anyone can clear this up for me! (I'm probably missing something painfully obvious!)

as you know, the old installer page at http://hda/myapps

note: DO NOT install new apps from this area. only pba, slideshow, amahitunes, recipes, weightwatcher and the themes are installable from this old area.

once you click, they install and you have to click on the icon to run the app.

if you install any of the new apps you run the risk of corrupting the internal app database, which will require reinstall to fix. sorry, we will remove the new apps from this area soon, and the area will be removed altogether once the remaining old apps above are ported to the new one-click online-based installer system.
My HDA: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz on MSI board, 8GB RAM, 1TBx2+3TBx1

D'oh... I didn't realise that! I was trying to use it like a new-style app (going to http://slideshow/) for example.

Thanks again
