Yes. Some people wanted it badly, so at least including the base code is a quick way to enable them with GH.

Later we can add the app side, but in the mean time some people will be happier.

Amahi 7 Express disk Question

Postby northridgegrp » Fri Jul 19, 2013 10:04 am

Given that a 64 bit version is being tested will there also be a 32 bit version of A7 Express? If not, can those of us that have 32 bit hardware still install A7 off an on-line Amahi repo? Is A7 in a state that we can start testing applications (A7 64 bit and 32 bit)? I wouldn't mind to start testing ownCloud on A7 (32 bit).

Yes, there will be a 32 bit version.

Some applications are starting to work, but we still have a couple of issues being worked on before moving to app testing. If you have packaged apps, please start testing them on A7 (64 bits for now)!

Looks like RC7 has a missing dependency and does not install (php-intl), for some reason I cannot quite understand.

Working on an RC8 with all updates (ruby issues, etc.) ready to do.

I have a loaner 64 bit system and have A7/F19 installed. I only see DLNA and no other applications. I also tried to install DLNA and did not get any response after clicking on the Install button.

I did an A7 install on-line from the A7 F19 repo.

hi, RC8 is up ... a bit bigger (has all the packages for desktop, etc, though it does not install -- not sure why i cannot shrink it now):

Code: Select all

alpha.amahi.org/tmp/Amahi-7-RC8-x86_64-DVD.iso
things to test are hda-ctl and dnsmasq starting peacefully and reliably (i hope), hda-greyhole should be there, and generally should all come up fine.

When I was doing the original prototype on F18 I could only get the disc down to 1.3 GB in total size.

I'm interested in viewing the password-protected blog post about A7: https://blog.amahi.org/2013/07/26/cravi ... e-polished

My normal amahi.org and wiki.amahi.org passwords don't seem to work. What do I need to do?
