Hi,

Amahi-7-RC5-x86_64-DVD.iso is uploaded in alpha.amahi.org/tmp/ and should be ready to download.

This new version has some changes based on feedback from bigfoot65 and one bug we found in hda-ctl that could potentially not start at bootup. The reason could be that it was referring to something called syslog.target, which does not exist in F19. For some reason this does not cause issues some (or most?) times.

In any case, there was a similar issue with the amahi-installer.service, which should be fixed as well.

Not much can be done about httpd on first instance. At least not yet. As I mentioned, it's best to leave this one in the backburner to see if it becomes a big issue.

Update, this release appears to be problematic with hda-ctl ... for some reason that we're still investigating ...

Did two installs. First one hda-ctl did not start. Second one httpd failed to start

I did the install as normal and did not touch it until the final reboot. Please let me know what logs or actions you want me to take to help trouble shoot.

I will generate a new build, no need for logs. This is a new one ... learning how systemd actually works ...

Ok, cool. Look forward to testing the next build. I need to figure out how to add desktop to it so I can test apps.

to install the gnome desktop, i believe this will do it:
however, it'd be best to test with the app grinder, which is headless. (i know, i know)

also, this add a LOT of dependencies, which could interfere with deps we need for apps.

I have tried it in the past with no luck. There will be some who want to use VNC with the HDA and this will be needed.

It will be something I guess we need to work on over time.

Installed new release and the http server failed. I had to manually start it. Everything else seems to be working.

This build looks good. Others also tried it (reported via IRC) and it worked well.

For you, same error in httpd logs?

Do you give a hostname to your machine somehow during install?
