Its working now. I was giving a static IP via my PROD HDA. Once I removed that, it worked fine

I see. Most people will not hit this issue, I think. So I think we can move on ..
on my plate:
- set up to build for 32-bits
- help workaround (or fix) the darn ruby bug upstream
- fix the apps area
btw, yesterday we made some progress. tested a couple of apps and found and fixed a few bugs in the api.
so, testing apps should work, though the UI is partially busted. you can also test installing by hand with
i think we also need to resolve "what if the user does NOT make an admin user at install time" situation. in general, the messages (root not created, etc.) can be confusing, so we need to figure out how to best do this so that users are directed properly no matter what they do here (even if they diverge from instructions).
Oh, plus we need to see if the extra reboot is fixable. Assuming it's a problem for people.
