Just for anyone reading this, plugging my OS into completely different hardware has worked fine. Everything is intact and running so far as I can see. Greyhole is functional as before.

I have a few questions regarding the install on the Gen8. Did you make any changes to the BIOS to remove the "Bios FW Bug Found" on boot? And which LAN port did you use? I've just installed using LAN1 and whilst it was picked up, the install is now reporting that the network is unreachable...

BTW, I presume you are using command line to look at these files as root user. If not, that may be why you get permission denied.
