Re: Cannot access Lotus Notes server while Amahi server is u
Sorry for the long delay - my workstation crashed and I had some other complications also. AT & T dialer is the VPN client used to connect to the IBM network. Attached are the ipconfigs before the Amahi server is booted. My Amahi server is now based on Ubuntu 12.04 - there's no change in how it ...

Re: Cannot access Lotus Notes server while Amahi server is u
When I ping the server name given while Lotus Notes is retrieving mail, the IP address returned is 9.63.10.38. I've no idea if there are other servers that I access when I use Notes. Re: Cannot access Lotus Notes server while Amahi server is u
I changed the IP address of the server to 192.168.252.200 - I think the DHCP range is 192.168.252.100 - 192.168.252.199. Gateway is 192.168.252.1.
It didn't help - cannot connect to Lotus Notes.
BTW I've disabled the VPN server in Amahi.

Re: Cannot access Lotus Notes server while Amahi server is u
Right - I'm forgetting my basic networking - my bad.
Since I don't know the IP address of the Notes server(s), I think that I should change my class C address to something a little less popular - like 192.168.252.x for example.

Re: Cannot access Lotus Notes server while Amahi server is u
Why would it work OK when the Amahi server is off if there's an IP networking conflict? Wouldn't the conflict still exist regardless of if the Amahi server is running or not?

Re: Cannot access Lotus Notes server while Amahi server is u
No VPNs installed yet - but I was planning to add one in the future.
Thanks for both your suggestions - now I have a place to start looking.
