Re: How to backup your Amahi

Backing up a complete amahi/F12 config is incredibly useful now. I may need to re-install F12 and change the SATA ports for my drives around a little. If I swap motherboards, would everything work just as fine? -what needs to be backed up to retain the users/share settings/customizations I currently...

Re: Can I do this with Amahi?

yup. Greyhole is the storage pooling that Amahi uses and will make all your drives (except your OS partition) pool into a single space for shared files and folders. The amahi-DLNA server will let you stream from your video/music shares to any other device on your network that supports such. have fun!

Re: Fedora 14 alpha - seeking testers!

Fedora won't install to any VM I make.

Likely cuz I'm using Windows 7's virtual PC. oh well.

Wish I had yet another spare machine to test on.

Re: DIY HDA server hardware

A lot of home theater or cube or horizontal desktop cases are great for smaller server builds. That way they fit into component shelves of home entertainment systems. For silence, you must not neglect cooling at the same time. The best way to do this is to install larger fans at slower speeds. Try t...

Re: Transmission - Moving/accessing downloaded file

I think I only had to chmod777 my torrents folder once and it lets me move stuff almost right away.
