Re: Greyhole wouldn't start after Amahi 6 upgrade

The script

Code:
hda-upgrade-amahi5-to-amahi6

is actually doing that. Did you run it??
I did. I did every step in the F12 to F14 upgrade guide.

Amahi 6 has been running all night and all appears to be OK this morning.

EDIT: I had also already run the script to convert the database to Mysql.

Greyhole wouldn't start after Amahi 6 upgrade

Just a heads up. I just finished upgrading to Amahi 6 following the upgrade guide. When I checked the dashboard I noticed the Greyhole service wasn't running and it wouldn't start. Opened a terminal and typed greyhole --status Got this reply Can't describe tasks with query: DESCRIBE tasks - Error: T...

Re: Can't access Amahi DLNA from TV

The issue you have isn't with Amahi DLNA but with the Sony Bravia. I also have one and as mentioned above it's very picky about file formats. Amahi DLNA doesn't transcode formats it simply serves them up to a DLNA device. It will work very well with the Sony Bravia if your media is in a format the B...

Re: .mkv Transcoder

I'm using ps3mediaserver. My Amahi server is running headless so I use vncserver and long in to the Fedora desktop using an XP laptop. You'll need to use the latest beta (412 I think). Since ps3mediaserver is a Java application and needs a desktop to run you'll need to leave vncserver running all th...

Re: Gallery3 can't find server

Thanks for your reply. It's working now. Oddly, all I had to do was reboot the server. Apparently the DNS server wasn't running (even though it appeared to be in the dashboard) or had some kind of issue. Rebooting cleared the problem whatever it was. Gallery3 is now working great.

Gallery3 can't find server

Just recently re-installed Amahi on a new disk in my server. On the previous installation Gallery3 installed and ran with no problems. This time though after installing, the browser can't find http://gallery3.homenet.com (homenet is the network name). I have also installed Arcadem and it works fine....

Re: Fuppes Package?

I'm using ps3mediaserver to transcode videos. It's not an Amahi app so you have to install it in Fedora. Actually there's no install, just download the latest verison (I use 1.20.412 the latest beta I think) and expand in to a directory (I use /opt). Execute pms.sh and that's it. You'll need to have...

Re: Anyone using CrashPlan?

I've installed Crashplan but I'm a little confused as to which directories on the server to backup. I want to backup only the shares but if I select /var/hda/files/sharename it only has a link to the file and Crashplan doesn't appear to backup anything. I'm using Greyhole with 2 drives for the share...

Re: Problem installing VNC

I think I followed the updated wiki but I did so many things something may have gotten out of order. This was my second Amahi install on the same box. I added an additional drive to remove / from the Greyhole pool ( http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1679 ). During the first install (s...

Re: Problem installing VNC

Thanks but Method 2 didn't work either. I finally got it working though. Turns out that root was the owner of /home/ username /.vnc/ so VNC couldn't write its setup files when run as username . I changed ownership and was able to get it installed OK using Method 1 from the wiki. Funny thing though, ...
