Re: Amahi on Ubuntu?
I too am interested in the Ubuntu port. However much of what is required to port to a debian architecture means there are not a lot of individuals who have the time or knowledge. i would agree.. however, if we would go with the LTS versions, we would have.. a long time.. to figure out the next step...

IP conflicts with Amahi's DHCP
Hello, It apears amahi has some problems, mostly with Windows clients. When you assign a static IP to a computer, and that computer is not connected, DHCP gives that same IP out to other clients who connect. thus resulting in an IP Conflict when the rightfull Client connects. So far this has not hap...

Re: The Official Roadmap Draft for Amahi 5 and later versions..
i still think, having some form of theming should be high on the priority list. for the simple reason that it allows app maintainers for basic skinning as well, which makes the overall project more.. "as one" like other projects. also, we would benefit from a php scripter, i have limited s...

For a headless install, all you need is the base install, nothing more.here's a project for someone interested - optimize the packages for a headless install
when amahi installs, it installs the required dependencies as well no?

Re: Same desktop different pc?
you can mount /home (or just /home/your_username) on an NFS share on all the systems, where the NFS share is provided from your server. This will give you the same settings everywhere. It also means that you'll have to configure all systems exactly the same though. by now, Amahi supports roaming pr...

Re: 24/7
i am curious as to why you want to run amahi then?
if you only want file sharing, then setup a simple windows workstation, or even linux can do that..
because you might break more then you do good this way, i think.
