Re: OpenVPN ALS (Adito) Network Places Problem
Can OpenVPN ALS be adapted to be accessed by IP address? Right now it is accessed adito.hostname.youhda.com:4443. Could that be changed to 192.168.1.12/adito:4443 or something like that? from outside your network the 192.x.x.x address will not be reachable. that is why the dynamic DNS is used. it w...

Re: Cannot access HDA, ruby not started, cannot load puginfa
Yes, the info's there, I'm looking at it! I had the 5.4 express disk sitting around from my previous attempt at getting it running, so thought I'd give it another go hoping to avoid downloading the latest version! (I don't have a decent internet connection, it'll take the best part of 15 hours to l...

Re: Cannot access Lotus Notes server while Amahi server is u
it could also be a number of other issues.
it seems most likely to be IP addressing conflicts but, honestly, very few corporations use 192.168.x.x in their corporate IP addressing plans.
let us know if you still have issue. i would be happy to provide some additional things to look at if needed.

Re: <anything>.home.com goes to an external website
Amahi does not resolve like a normal server (i.e. IP address/app), so this does not work. If you are able to resolve http://appname to http://hda/appname, I would be interested to know how you did it. I have never seen Amahi work in that manner. Actually the DNS resolution is the same as any other ...

Re: Cannot access HDA, ruby not started, cannot load puginfa
you can install using the regular method and then make it headless. i believe there is guidance on this somewhere on the wiki...though i cant seem to find it at the moment.

Re: Fedora 14 vs Fedora 16
I dont mean this as a dig towards the Amahi team at all but you should know that that May target is new, it has slipped a few times already.
Install Fedora 14 and patiently wait for 16 support.

BRTFS
I dont think there are any issues specifically with Gryhole and BRTFS interaction but was wondering if anyone has run Amahi using BRTFS and if they notice any measurable (anecdotal or real) performance improvements.

Re: Cannot access Lotus Notes server while Amahi server is u
Why would it work OK when the Amahi server is off if there's an IP networking conflict? Wouldn't the conflict still exist regardless of if the Amahi server is running or not?
not if the Amahi server is the same as IP as the Notes server
