Re: proftpd "530 Login incorrect"
By the way: I noticed in the ProFTPd web interface under Configure > filepaths there is a warning: The file you've specified do not seem to exist - adjust the value of this field and supply the full path to the kernel configuration. The various Linux-distributions have different locations of placing...

FTP locally on Fedora 23 /Amahi 9
I'm setting up in am Amahi 9 server in an office and the users really love it. They have an old copier that can scan to a server share but only by FTP. I don't want to mess something in Amahi up but would like to enable scanning to a share. Suggestions?

I see that the status for the Amahi 9 OpenVPN app is Alpha. Any notion of when it will move to Beta or final release? I am willing to test anything you need

What a great idea! Why didn't I think of that? That is the better place to go. Thank you for your reply. I will check the fedora forum.

Re: NTFS Shares
I think I understand the gist of the article you posted. Acceptable file name parameters are different between the *nix and windows and this causes problems. What I am proposing is a separate OS drive that is standard Linux partitioning that houses Fedora and Amahi and only the shares on an NTFS for...

CLOSED: NTFS Shares
Here's a fun question. I have a customer that is using very expensive Windows based software that needs NTFS partitions in which to keep its files. They have no backup that they can share on the network. (They are currently carrying around an external USB drive to share projects.) I think that an Am...

Re: Guest Wifi
I know that disabling DHCP was irreversible in previous Amahi versions, short of rebuilding the server. Is that still so? I want the users to know what they are getting into before I disable DHCP on Amahi.

Guest Wifi
I am using an Amahi 8 / Fedora 21 HDA in a public space for a ministry. We want to set up a Guest Network / Wifi for our visitors. I have Cisco E2000 routers in the building with DD-WRT installed. I want to follow the following tutorial (http://www.alexlaird.com/2013/03/dd-wrt-guest-wireless/) but i...
