Re: SOLVED: adding a printer to Amahi7 with Fedora 19

Re: Printer Help
I can understand that. I thought the person who wrote that article was going to update the wiki. I guess I thought wrong. I try to get the users involved in updating it as I have my plate full with apps and a full time job. If that guidance works well for you, I will try to get it in the wiki for o...

I am sure when I edited the cupsd.conf file I never saw any "Allow @LOCAL" termThe app install script adds that line to 3 places I believe. Did you see any errors in the amahi-app-installer.log?

Re: adding a printer to Amahi7 with Fedora 19
I will have to check the install script to see if maybe that line was missing. It may be your cups config was not the standard default and it could not make the updates. which "line" do you mean; the "Allow @LOCAL" attribute isn't only one line. I found it while googling because...

Re: Unable to browse network shares
I am using the routers DHCP and the HDA DHCP simultaneously because I may have to reboot my Windows machine occasionally and network would be lost from other computers. (Is that bad practice BTW?). Any suggestions? there can't be on the same network two DHCP servers first of all, try to leave only ...

adding printer Amahi.7 - CUPS webapp
Do you have a user with root privileges? That's what it looks for to authenticate. I am surprised it did not work with a regular user. Might have to disable the authentication portion to access it. yeap the first user I created during the installation is also with administrative priviledges as stat...

Re: adding a printer to Amahi7 with Fedora 19

In the application it is said: user: root password: root password I typed it as it is, I tried to use root/(my own password), I tried to use (myusername/mypasswor...
