CLOSED: Lost access to shares and dashboard

Recently I noticed my persistently mapped shares (Windows 10) to the hda were disconnected. When I tried to reconnect I got the "network path not found" message. I tried to SSH with putty and that connection timed out. I tried to open the dashboard but that connection failed also. It seeme...

Re: Wiring plan for network, cable modem, DHCP

My setup looks exactly like yours and works fine. You want to keep some sort of router/firewall between your network and the internet. You'll want to turn off DNS and DHCP in your router though if you use Amahi.

Re: Amahi.net not resolving - Smart People??

Check your clients to ensure they are using the hda for DNS. Sometimes when changing back and forth between router and hda for DHCP and DNS they can get confused. In my setup I use the router for DHCP and the hda for DNS. To do this I allow the clients to get their IP dynamically from the router but...

SOLVED: Gallery 2 appears to be broken

I used Gallery2 on Amahi 6.x for a long time. Worked fine then so I wanted to use it again on 7.4. Installed yesterday but something appears to be broken. The default image generator, ImageMagick, appears to be broken so no thumbnails are generated. I read somewhere that there are issues with depend...

Re: Couchpotato not downloading movie

You will need to use SABnzbd to download the actual file. Search the web for setting up Couchpotato and SABnzbd. There's lots of tutorials.

Re: Backup Strategy (Server + Computers on Network)

I've been using Crashplan and Crashplan Central for quite a while. I use the mount_shares_locally script then point Crashplan to there. Works well.

That did it. Cleaned out the junk, re-installed and it started right up.

Thanks Bigfoot!!
