so far i only have problems with DNS resolving (i cant use http://hda/) but this could be due to my mini-minimal-install.. i noticed amahi complaining about it during install. so today im gonna do a regular install, and see if amahi works correctly. other then this, everything works in amahi! shares...

This morning i had to reinstall my HTPC I installed Fedora rawhide on it, because its the only distro that works with my intel based video chipset (namely the S-Video would fail on other distro's) i then installed amahi, using the F11 repository, and guess what? Linux kent van nature geen Domeinen, omdat linux gebruik maakt van NIS om netwerken bij elkaar te houden.
als je je linux client aan je HDA wil hangen, is het mischien handiger om een NIS server te installeren, en van daaruit verder te kijken!

you can manually edit the smb.confAnd until then, how is this line in smb.conf generated? So that I can set it and forget it...
it should not be editted untill you either add/modify shares, or reboot the machine.

yes, there IS a fix!
it involves creating some directory's and files that are apearantly not automaticly created.
