Re: Greyhole getting stuck
Turns out I did have version 10.10. I mistakenly thought the version matched the one displayed in apps for the greyhole UI app.

Re: Greyhole getting stuck
This is a followup to the previous discussion. I was able to use the greyhole option to remove orphaned metadata so I no longer see references to long deleted files. Unfortunately I am still seeing the problem where greyhole gets stuck in endless loops; repeatedly performing the same small group of ...

Re: Greyhole getting stuck
The changes were made from a windows PC over the network, so samba I guess. Hopefully the GH update will help. The good news is that it appears to have completed an FSCK today without getting stuck in a loop. The landing zone is empty of files so I'm less concerned about data loss if I need to do so...

SOLVED: Greyhole getting stuck
I recently began an effort to bring order to the chaos that is my media collection. This has resulted in a good deal of renaming and deleting (similar) files, but not actually much new information. I know that changing lot of files is not greyhole's strong suit, but I'm beginning to wonder if I need...

Transfer from USB hard drive
I have a large block of files to move from an external hard drive to my HDA. One way is to connect the drive to my windows PC and transfer the files over the LAN. However, I an wondering if there isn't a better way. I'd like to connect the drive directly to the HDA and transfer the files. I presume ...

SOLVED: DLNA server doesn't see all shares
I just installed the DLNA app. I edited the config file to include three shares containing videos - movies, TV and videos (for misc stuff). The lines in the config file are exactly the same except for movies/tv/videos at the end of the paths. The paths match the share paths listed in amahi/shares. W...

CLOSED: Disable DNS warning?
Clean install of Amahi up and running. Across the top pf every screen is a colored bar advising me that "Your client device is probably not using your HDA for DNS yet. We recommend the following for best experience." Ironically the warning stayed there even when I temporarily switched my D...

Ports or direct links to apps?
Recently upgraded to Amahi 10, and I'm glad to say everything seems to be working. I did run into trouble trying the upgrade path, but the clean install went off without a hitch. Now that it's up and running I've tried installing some utilities like Greyhole LogMon, Greyhole Disk Utilization and eZ ...
