Re: Can't open Amahi dashboard, suspect MySQL error
definetely have to move files off the root. i've had this before. if /dev/mapper/vg_padme-lv_root 70G 67G 0 100% / gets to 100%, mysql & ruby will kick these errors up. clear some files off the root and it will start. this has happened to me 2 or 3 times in the past. look at your torrents and se...

yeah, most home users should be using amahi rather than a dedicated nas. they'd get more out of it.

Re: ZFS?
there are some limitations with it at the moment eg no nfs support so i'm going to wait a while. it supports cifs
it also doesn't permit zfs on the root filesystem
minimum _x64 & 4gb ram

Re: Shares permissions
just remember that this is for samba only and those clients connecting via samba (normally windows clients)
if you use a mixture of clients eg windoze & nix etc, then it may be best to open up samba fully and granulate access with file permissions instead.

Re: Permission in Amahi Webinterface - without Console!
glad it worked out..... it's a common problem or misconception with samba etc. when it comes to shares, the easiest way to think of it is layers. imagine samba as a layer on top of file permissions. eg the file permissions have write access to all. samba has write permission for UserA only. only Use...
